Take Flight

My friend, Gareth, invited me along on a flight to Saldanha recently. We took off from Cape Town International Airport where it felt very strabge being in a small Piper Warrior amongst all the mighty Boeings. The first stop was Fisantekraal airstrip, where we met up with another plane piloted by Gareth's friend Christine. Together we flew to Saldanha and had some lunch with a couple of crazy pilots in the clubhouse. From Saldanha, we took a flight via the coast and circled Robben Island a few times before heading back over the Cape Flats to Cape Town International again. It was an awesome experience and I'm proud to be the firsth person to use the airsick bags on one of Gareth's flights.
