Hello and welcome to Blackcrow, the personal expressions website of Marc Viljoen & us. This is the third design for blackcrow.co.za and I'm constantly looking for new ways to present my adventures.

Chapman's Peak

12.02.07

Some friends of mine joined me for what was supposed to be awalk in the Cape Point Nature Reserve, but because our parks board thinks it funny to charge South Africans the normal tourist entry fee, we couldn't afford to go in. All was not lost, however, as we enjoyed a wonderful drive across the Cape Peninsula in Nick's Landy. Thanks Nick for letting us use your ride.

We had tea at a quaint Tibetan Tea Room in Simonstown and took a walk down from Chapman's Peak Drive to a cool picnic spot on the edge of the slopse for lunch. The photos show some of the awesome views of Houtbay and the slopes of Chapman's Peak.

Driving through Houtbay, we found a Flea Market and stopped to browse around. Books were bought, instruments played and we engaged in arb chats with the locals, including one horse.

Thanks to Ryan, Arno, LIndi, Sean and Serdyn for joining me. It was an epic day trip.
